Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!  We had a great day and felt the love in the air.  We celebrated with a yummy dinner of chicken cordon blue, rice pilaf, asparagus, and heart cookies for dessert.  Each year I write each family member a valentine and it has become a favorite tradition.  I love seeing my family's faces light up as they read their cards.  I'm so grateful for the ABUNDANT love that is shared and felt in our home; I'm one lucky wife and mom!

Talmage made an ice cave from Hoth for his Valentine box at school.
He came up with the idea and executed it all on his own...impressive!

I love romance and fun that is represented in his box...he's a romantic like his Dad.
He won most creative and technological (head lamp from above) for his box.

Audrey had an admirer this year for Valentine's Day.
He gave her this giant bear.
Let's just say....Dad was not happy. ;)

Skiing

Well, it's official a tradition...we have gone skiing two years in a row on Valentines weekend.  We were so excited to hit the slopes again this winter to ski.  We had a lot more snow this year, but we also skied in a blizzard.  I loved being with Gordon while the kids took lessons...we met up with them later.  The kids progressed a lot this year, especially Talmage and Audrey.  We are grateful to Grandma and Grandpa Jensen for their Christmas gift to fund this experience.
My HOT date.
Luckily, Gordon bought us googles or we would have been dying.

My man; notice the crazy snow.

Cute Adalyn; I love that smile.

Pacific Edge Meet

Audrey had her second meet of the season and did GREAT!  We headed to Newport, OR for the Pacific Edge Meet.  She place 7th on beam with a 9.025, 5th on bars with a 9.15, 2nd on vault with a 9.3, and 1st on floor with a 9.525.  Her all around score was a 37 and she place 3rd in her age group of 21 girls!  Audrey is loving competing this year after doing TOPS last year.  She is such a hard worker, and it's paying off.  Love our Audrey girl!

Illumination Dance Company

Adalyn participated in her first season on Illumination Dance Company- Making of a Hero,  and LOVED it!  I have been choreographing for the company for 5 seasons and finally I had one of my own in the show.  Adalyn was the youngest dancer in the company and did a fantastic job.  Every time she was on stage my eyes were locked on her and her adorable toothless grin.  She was the best little skipper in the whole show and I loved when she moved her hips from side to side on top of the cafeteria table.
Adalyn rehearsed for 5 months for the show and never once complained about going to rehearsal.  I love that she made new friends and found a confidence in her dancing; she is becoming quite the performer.  We loved watch her dance along with the rest of the company and look forward to next year.  Great job Adalyn!
She loved having her hair curled for the show.

Eating lunch with her friends.

Group hug.

Adalyn and Daddy.
Daddy always comes through with flowers.

We were so lucky to have Grammy and Papa in town for the performance.

Talmage cheered on his sisters in dance and gymnastics; what a GREAT big brother.

So cute!

Sewing with Mom

Audrey and I had fun today making a skirt for her American Girl Doll.  She picked the fabric out and we did the whole thing together.  She is getting good and sewing.  We had fun doing a project start to finish together.  I love my girl!

Toothless Adalyn!

Adalyn lost her second front tooth and has the cutest toothless grin!  We love this girl and all of her cuteness.  She is becoming a great reader and is always drawing something fantastic!  We need her to stop growing up!

Snow Day!

We had our ONE snow day of the year to welcome in 2016.  We didn't have much snow, but we enjoyed getting out and playing together in it.  Beverly didn't like the snow that much, but everyone else did.  We are thankful with our long driveway that we actually don't get snow very often.  Yay, for snow!

It is Sunday, so we only went to one hour of church and then everything was cancelled. Of course school was cancelled the next day too and then we had late start the following day.  Washington has a hard time with snow. ;)
