Orange Belt

Talmage has been working hard in karate and was invited to test to advance to an Orange Belt; he was so excited!  He did awesome on his test because he attends class regularly and he diligently practiced his moves and vocabulary the weeks leading up to the test.  Talmage loves doing karate and it shows in the sharpness he performs his moves and his excitement to go to class each week.  We are really proud of all that he is learning and how he is applying Karate principle to his life.  Way to go Talmage!!!

Valentines Day

We had our traditional Valentines breakfast to start off our Valentines day.  I made Valentines for each member of the family and we had fun reading them all together.  My kids love this tradition and I wasn't as prepared this year so I had a late night the night before but it's always worth it.  Valentines was a fun day and the kids had a great time sharing Valentines at school, with friends, and with family.  The kids and I also "heart-attacked" our Daddy's office door for when he came home so he would know just how much we love him.  Happy Valentines Day!

This child had a melt down about her Valentine not being pink; I should have know.  I ended up changing it for her and will make sure hers is pink for next year.  You can see her poor puffy face from crying.

Pastries with Parents

I was lucky enough to go with these two super cute kids to Pastries with Parents at their school.  We had fun with just three of us; we were sad that Daddy couldn't make it.  We at pastries of course and then headed to the library for some reading time.  I love my kiddo and having special times like these to spend with them.  

Audrey ate half of her pastries before she even sat down. We never have donuts at our house so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised.
